English Language
Four years of English Language Arts courses are required to graduate from Sterling Academy. The required courses are simply named English 1, English 2, English 3, and English 4.
Honors courses are available for English courses 1 through 4.
For those who would like additional practice in language arts, the following courses may be taken as electives:

- We also offer an alternative to the standard English 4 course: English 4: Florida College Prep.

At Sterling Academy, we offer mini-courses in novels. Each mini-course is worth 0.0625 credit. If you take four mini-courses, it equals 0.25 credit. If you take eight, you will have 0.5 credit, which counts toward your electives. You have 15 mini-courses to choose from!
